How important is skin exfoliation?

if you are not exfoliating the skin then everything you do treat it is being wasted. Radiant, youthful, healthy skin depends on exfoliation from the inside out.   Granular exfoliations are a must since their job is to remove the build up of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Just as essential if not more so is the need to bring the dead skin cells up through the layers and onto the surface to be sloughed away. AHA, BHA and RETINOL make excellent “internal exfoliants”.

What can I expect from regular use of retinol?

With continuous usage, improvements in your skin may become visible after just a few days. Users of retinol generally notice diminished fine lines and wrinkles, a smoother overall appearance of facial contours and evened out skin tone. You may also notice your skin becoming more supple and healthier- looking. Sufferers of keratosis pilaris may also see improvements from use of retinol products.

Can I use retinol if I have dry skin?

Yes. Those with very dry skin may have an initial period of light flaking, but generally, this is nothing to be concerned with. This is actually a stage called the retinoid effect, and is simply your skin acclimating to the vitamin A. It is generally a short period of time, and can be eased by skipping every other night until your skin has adjusted.

Is there a difference between retinol and Alpha Hydroxy Acid?

Yes, Alpha Hydroxy acids are used to encourage topical exfoliation, while retinol is used to help generate the renewal of skin cells from deep under the skin.

Is it okay to use Alpha Hydroxy Acid products while using retinol products?

Yes, use of one doesn’t preclude the other. However, if using both, you might try applying AHA’s in the early hours and retinol products in the evening, before bedtime.

Each individual case is different; however, many people see increased radiance of the skin and smoothness in as little as two weeks. Sun damaged skin may take a while longer, but you should see improvements during the first few months of usage.

Is there any time when use of retinol products should be avoided?

It is not advised to use more than one retinol product at the same time. Also, if you’re undergoing any kind of skin peeling treatments or using a particularly strong AHA, you might temporarily avoid retinol products until your skin has adjusted, to avoid any chance of irritation.

Can a daily application of instant eye lift actually have a muscle relaxing effect?

Try it for yourself! Your friends will believe you have had some "work done". Instant eye lift is the first salon only botox alternative which provides an instant and long-term wrinkle erasing effect in a topical formulation. No needles, no injections, no pain. Results are immediate but the best part of all is with daily use, accumulative results actually do support a botox like result.

How long will the effects of instant eye lift last?

Visible results will last up to eight hours, long-term results on the other hand just get better and better with daily use. Instant eye lift maybe used morning and evening or on special occasions...but remember it is the daily application that will give you the long-term benefits.

Is there a trick to using instant eye lift?

There is and just a little practice makes perfect.
Instant eye lift should only be applied to expression wrinkles and areas where you would like to achieve a lift, such as wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead. It is not recommended (or necessary) to use it all over your face.
Before you start make sure your skin is perfectly cleansed and dry. Pump a little of the serum onto your forefinger. A little goes a long way so one pump should cover crow’s feet and forehead lines. In small circular motions, rub it sparingly and evenly across lines and wrinkles. IMPORTANT! Make sure you don’t move or touch your face for 2 – 3 minutes or until instant eye lift has dried – moving will ruin the effect and compromise immediate visible results.

Overuse of instant eye lift with result in a white powdery residue on the skin. Remember less is more and a little goes a long way. If you are left with a white edge, flakiness or powder on the skin, simply moisten a cotton tip or your finger with water and pat the excess away.
