Skin First Philosophy
There’s no skin surface stuff happening here, we take skin seriously. O is guided by the principles of skin science and the philosophy of Corneotherapy; a skin treatment ideology focused on repairing and maintaining the skin’s crucial outer layer, technically known as the stratum corneum. O works with the skin’s biology using gentle, barrier supporting ingredients rather than aggressive exfoliation to restore harmony and balance, skin function and cell to cell optimisation. Don’t get us wrong, when the skin needs a nudge, we don’t hesitate to bring out the big guns, but always with skin respect at the forefront of skin goals.
Cosmedical at the Core
The category didn’t exist, so we created it. In 2007, beauty therapist and industry pioneer Maria Enna-Cocciolone coined the term Cosmedics, introducing a new category in skincare. Cosmedics is best defined as a fusion of cosmeceutical and medical-strength actives, used at functional doses and working at the threshold of medicine to deliver corrective care and real skin transformation.
In 2010, Maria created and launched O COSMEDICS exclusively for the Australian professional beauty industry as the world’s first Cosmedical skincare brand. Supercharged with functional doses of active ingredients sourced globally and backed by science, O COSMEDICS is designed to influence cellular activity, skin function and inflammatory pathways. This
targeted approach supports skin longevity by retaining skin health, corrects skin concerns to restore skin health and delivers visible, transformative results.

Known as the big guns of skin-longevity (once known as anti-aging, but we all know there’s nothing anti about the gift of aging) and formulated with functional actives, O is active enough to speak to the cells and create change; never more than the skin can tolerate, but never less than what it needs.
